The blades on the left are zhang (axe); the beauty on the right is a ge (dagger). All except the bottom zhang are decorated with a narrow band of thin incised lines on the part of the tang nearest the blade, although this can be difficult to see in the photos. In hafted blades this decoration would have been obscured, but these blades were purely for show and probably never mounted on a handle.
