Pottery Display

Jinsha Museum, Chengdu

This is a small sample of the hundreds of pottery vessels on display at the museum. A wide variety of shapes and functions is seen in this photo: beakers, bowls, lids, ewers, canteens, and other things harder to classify. The tall-stemmed vessels with wide feet (photo upper shelf) are drinking cups. I don't know why the dishes (bottom shelf, lower left) have holes in the middle.
