The beloved goddess, Dishui Guanyin, pours out the waters of blessing from her vase upon the harbor, a Chinese version of Europe's Stella Maris. The statue stands in front of the main building of the Kwun Yam (Guanyin) Shrine, where it is paired with Guanyin's Daoist counterpart, the sea goddess Mazu (Tin Hau); see photo.
