Granary Jar

This granary jar is a funeral vessel. It was manufactured in the Yue kilns, which are the origin site of Chinese celadon porcelain. The top of the vessel is decorated with numerous human and animal figures, sea creatures, and birds, and a pavilion for storing grain on top. This represents an abundance of food, that one would need in the afterlife
