Chariot Procession

Eastern Han dynasty, 25 - 220 AD
Gansu Provincial Museum

Subordinate officials follow in their individual canopied chariots. These models are similar in design, although much smaller and less elaborate, to the imposing 1/2-size example found at Lishan. For example, the Gansu chariots are missing the horses' harness, although the yokes are fully modeled.
