Chariot Procession
Eastern Han dynasty, 25 - 220 AD
Gansu Provincial Museum
These model bronze figures come from the same excavation (Leitai, in Wuwei City) as the bronze horse on the previous pages. The order of the figures, as reconstructed in the museum, is horsemen first, chariots second, baggage train in rear. It seems, though, that the riders should surround the column rather than congregating at the front (R. L. Thorp, personal communication).
