Datong City Museum

The Datong City Museum is currently (2009) located on the grounds (lower level) of Huayan Si. It is rich in Northern Wei material. Many of its holdings consist of tomb objects (mingqi) recovered from local elite burials, such as the set of warriors shown here. The ceramic figurines were excavated from the tomb of Sima Kinglong, dated 484 AD.
