Tomb of Wang Jian

Chengdu

Wang Jian was the ruler of Sichuan between 907 AD and 918 AD, just after the end of the Tang dynasty. A king with imperial pretensions, he built himself an imperial-style tomb, now known as the Yongling Museum, in Chengdu. The usual spirit path, above, leads to the interior of his tomb, which includes a fine statuary orchestra.
